What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Financial Information
Customers provide their financial information directly to PayPal when purchasing or subscribing to our service. That information is retained by PayPal and is never collected or viewed by Hoosier Films. We can view contact information (including mailing address) that is provided by the customer during the PayPal transaction.
View Activity
Your view activity (both on our website and through our Roku channel) is logged so that we can provide a user-specific experience (e.g. suggestions based on activity, continue watching where you left off, etc.). View activity is also used to calculate monthly royalty payments to filmmakers.
Contact forms
Information that users provide through our contact forms is stored in the system and provided to our customer service staff.
Cookies
If you select “Remember Me” when logging in, your login credentials will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Who we share your data with
Your private information is never shared. Anonymized, aggregated view statistics are shared with filmmakers on a monthly basis.
How long we retain your data
For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. Website administrators are able to see that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
